Two University of Minnesota startups were recently recognized for their competitive edge:

  • CaSTT, a software platform for technology transfer organizations, is a finalist in Minnesota’s Tekne Awards. Now in its 12th year, this award program honors those who play a significant role in discovering new technologies that educate, improve lifestyles and impact lives.
  • Early Learning Labs, which provides a research-based assessment of child development and learning, was a semifinalist in the 2011 Minnesota Cup, a community-led effort hosted by the U of M, Wells Fargo and the State of Minnesota. AUM Cardiovascular, a Farmington, Minn.-based startup, was this year’s grand prize winner.
