University of Minnesota researchers have developed a compound that prevents photo aging and maintains collagen, which is essential for skin rejuvenation. At the same time, it protects skin from damage caused by ultraviolet exposure.

Based on University of Minnesota research, startup Vytacera Pharma, Inc., will develop and market Sulfanegen, a treatment for cyanide poisoning. The antidote could be administered by first responders in the case of a mass casualty emergency, or to victims of smoke inhalation from a house fire.
